This accessibility statement applies to the website of GEFU GmbH published at gefu.com.

General Description of the Service

The GEFU GmbH website enables users to obtain information about products and services, get in touch with us, and place orders or bookings directly online.

Applicable Legal Requirements

Digital services are subject to the requirements of Section 14 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) in conjunction with Section 3(1) BFSG and the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).

Implementation of Accessibility Requirements

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation carried out with the support of the accessibility tool provided by AccessGO.

Based on this review, the website is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements specified above.

Specifically, the following aspects are not yet fully compliant with the accessibility requirements applicable to us:

• Some elements use ARIA attributes that are not permitted for their respective roles.
• ARIA dialogs do not have an accessible name, making their purpose unclear to screen reader users.
• Some elements use ARIA attributes that are not permitted for their respective roles, which may cause incorrect behaviour in screen readers.
• Elements with certain ARIA roles do not contain the required child elements, resulting in an incomplete semantic structure.
• The heading hierarchy skips levels, making navigation significantly more difficult for screen reader users.
• Some links are empty or contain no text, making their destination or function unclear.
• The alternative text of an image exceeds the recommended length, resulting in long and difficult-to-follow announcements by screen readers.
• ARIA attributes contain invalid values that cannot be processed by assistive technologies.
• Buttons do not contain accessible text, meaning their function cannot be identified by screen reader users.
• The page does not have a title, meaning users of assistive technologies cannot identify the content of the page.
• The main landmark is incorrectly embedded in the page structure, which may impair orientation for screen reader users.
• The page contains multiple main landmarks, although only one is permitted.
• Landmarks of the same type do not have unique names and therefore cannot be distinguished from one another by screen reader users.
• Focusable elements within the tab order have a role that is not suitable for interactive content.
• Hidden sections contain keyboard-focusable elements, which may cause usability issues for keyboard users.
• Images with empty alt text require manual review to determine whether they are used solely for decorative purposes.

Information Regarding PDF Files

Some PDF documents provided on the website (e.g. operating instructions, declarations of conformity, energy labels and certificates) are currently not fully accessible.

Some of these files have structural and technical limitations, including missing heading structures, undefined reading orders, missing alternative text for graphical content or untagged tables. As a result, their use with assistive technologies is limited.

For organisational and economic reasons, we are currently unable to provide all existing PDF documents in a fully accessible format. However, we endeavour to publish new documents in an accessible format wherever possible in the future.

If you require a specific document in an accessible format, please contact us. We will be happy to provide an individually accessible version wherever possible.

Additional Information Regarding Accessibility

Our website uses the AccessGO accessibility plugin (www.accessgo.de), provided by DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH.

This enables users to adapt our website to their individual accessibility needs or preferences.

The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively by using the keyboard shortcut “ALT + 1”. All functions can also be operated using the keyboard.

Among other things, the following aspects can be adjusted:
